Have you ever wondered whether the reason you feel like shit all the time is the complaining?
Not the job. Not the people. Not the circumstances you love describing in detail to anyone who will sit still long enough. The complaining itself.
Here is the thing nobody in your life is going to say to you. What you are not changing, you are choosing. Every single time. I do not care where you are or what you do, there is always another option. You might not like what it costs, and that is a separate conversation, but do not tell me there is no option when what you mean is you do not want to pay for the one that exists.
In this episode I get into why complaining is the engine and not the symptom. Every time you narrate what is wrong, you strengthen the neural pathway that finds and articulates problems, making it faster and more automatic. Over years you build a brain that is measurably better at spotting what is wrong than at seeing anything else, and then you point at your own filtered results as proof that your life is hard. Your attention filter surfaces more of what you have signaled is important, which means the evidence keeps confirming the belief.
Plus the check engine light and the two respectable options, and the generation that walked through a parted sea, ate bread that appeared on the ground every morning, and still said out loud they would have been better off in slavery. That is what chronic complaining does to perception. It does not just make you unpleasant, it distorts your ability to correctly evaluate your own life.
Change it or accept it. Both make you free. What you are doing now is neither.
Go listen.
