You think saying yes to everyone makes you a good person.
It makes you a tired person who is quietly keeping score. Every yes you did not mean turns into resentment, and then you sit there wondering why nobody appreciates you, why nobody gives back, why you are always the one holding everything together.
Here is the truth. You keep getting hurt because you expect people to be you. You show up for everyone, so you expect everyone to show up for you. They are not you. They were never going to be. And most people only want you for what they can get from you, which you find out the second you set one boundary and watch who disappears.
Today’s episode goes all the way in. Why people pleasing is fear, not kindness. The brain science of why no feels like stepping off a cliff and how you retrain that alarm. The phone battery analogy that will change how you think about your own energy. The woman who got sick and finally saw who was only there for the casserole. And the fact that even Jesus walked away from crowds of people who needed him.
No is a complete sentence. Time to start using it.
Go listen.
